I think I’ve given up with the dating game but interestingly enough, my cousin in the Philippines is trying to get me together with his cousin (not related to me at all) and she seems to like me. Because of distance we only have the internet to communicate until summer 2010 comes. Do you have any tips or comments about this? I don’t really know how to flirt or chat with a date online.

My quick answer to this question:

Just relax dude. What flirting is… is what comes out of you when you’re having fun and being yourself and attracted to someone. Even though there are people out there who claim they can teach you to flirt, trust me, you don’t wanna go there. You will learn lines or tricks, and when you try them out you’ll just come out ackward and weird.

See… the thing is dude… if a girl likes you, she likes you, and the only thing you can do is mess it up. She won’t care if you can’t flirt, she likes you as you are… And you can only mess it up… the way you can mess it up is by being weird and trying too hard. So just relax, and have the following 2 goals in mind 1) get to know her and find out if she’s cool 2) communicate interest if you’re intereted. Just focus on those 2 goals and the rest will come out naturally. It might be flirting, or it might be you verbally saying “hey, I like you”… It doesn’t matter… As long as you focus on getting to know her and if she’s really cool or not… whatever comes out of you will be genuine and girls really appreciate it. If you’re genuine, you don’t need to be smooth man.
